The GEWO Inventus rubber series represents another milestone in the success story of GEWO high-performance rubbers. A new surface technology (Longer Trajectory Touch - LTT) enables maximum rotation, coupled with incredible feel and the ability to control the ball a little longer, thus extending the ball's trajectory. This greatly increases ball control and offers optimized ball feel for all game situations where "touch play" is required, without sacrificing the necessary speed reserves. The perfect interplay of a flexible, high-tack topsheet and an absolute high-performance sponge enables tremendous acceleration potential and ensures more direct energy transfer in all offensive shots, such as the all-important counter topspin close to the table or from mid-distance. What previously seemed unthinkable is now possible, because, as the name Inventus suggests, we have found the right solution: Played balls can be controlled a little longer, yet there is no loss of speed.
This interplay is enabled and optimized by the new DETT (Direct Energy Transmission Technology) bonding technology combined with Longer Trajectory Touch Technology (LTT). GEWO Inventus represents a more harmonious and efficient combination of speed, rotation, and acceleration without compromising on feel and control.
GEWO Inventus XT Pro 52.5
The 52.5° hard yet dynamic sponge is the prerequisite for maximum power table tennis! With this variant, the focus is clearly on the successful combination of hardness, speed, and the necessary feel for all more controlled shots, setting up point-winning finishes. The 52.5° hard power sponge offers speed reserves in all game situations, allowing you to launch dangerous counterattacks at any time, even from a defensive position. A short and dynamic arm stroke and a high basic playing skill level are the prerequisites for activating the maximum potential of this true offensive powerhouse. Counter topspins at the table or from mid-distance are achieved with ease and, thanks to the flatter trajectories (compared to the softer variants), give the opponent little time to withstand the pressure.
Player type / characteristics:
- Harder, fast and direct, but with the necessary spin and a not too flat flight curve
- For players who operate close to the table and do not want to give their opponents time for dangerous counterattacks by using quick and short arm movements
- Ideal for players who need a hard and dynamic sponge for their “counter-spin” game, but cannot do without the best possible control and a brilliant touch
LTT
The new LTT (Longer Trajectory Touch) surface technology cleverly tensions a more flexible, highly grippy topsheet with slightly wider pimples. The longer contact time and incredible spin potential significantly increase control on more passive shots, while still providing the necessary speed reserves for explosive attacking shots. In addition, the LTT technology now allows players to choose harder sponges without fear of losing control or missing touch on more passive shots.
DETT
With Direct Energy Transmission Technology (DETT), the sponge cells in the rubber are made more compact and subjected to enormous tension. This enables a more direct energy transfer to the ball, significantly increasing speed and catapult power. Counter topspins become more efficient and easier to play, even if the ball can no longer be hit at its "highest point." The ball's flight trajectory remains flat enough to allow the ball to reach the opponent's side even faster, giving the opponent even less time to react.
