Butterfly Ilius B is a completely new long-pips top sheet with a brand-new sponge, Absorber Sponge Drop. When long-pips rubber has a hard sponge, the pimples bend more, so you get a greater effect. Generally, the harder the sponge, the harder it is to control, as the ball leaves the racket faster. However, Absorber Sponge Drop absorbs the energy of the opponent’s ball well even during hard impact, so you can have high stability while taking advantage of the long pimpled effect. The top sheet is also quite hard, with pimples at the highest permitted aspect ratio to bring out the rubber's features. The combination of the top sheet and Absorber Sponge Drop delivers high performance in short strokes over the table, such as chop block. It also supports both innovative attacking and defensive play, making the best use of the long pimples' characteristics, such as a low, penetrating backhand with minimal spin. The top sheet's durability has more than doubled compared to the Feint Long III, which has a similar pimple shape. This is due to compounds that improve durability while maintaining the rubber's performance.
